Film Production Automation

PROJECT

Antioxidant film production automation for oil pipes.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

An antioxidant film for oil pipes is a protective layer applied to the surface of the pipes to prevent corrosion during storage, transport, and use in oil fields. This film is formulated to withstand exposure to harsh environmental conditions such as humidity, high temperatures, and aggressive chemicals, thereby ensuring structural integrity and extending the service life of oil pipes.

DEMAND
Establish BlueTooth communication between two accelerometers in the ore screening process, measure the oscillation, and display the graph in real time.

Measurement in Ore Screening System

PROJECT
Oscillation measurement in the ore screening system.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
There is a specific oscillation pattern in the system formed by the screen acting on the particle system that optimizes the dewatering and screening processes to improve productivity and reduce the moisture content of iron ore bulk.

DEMAND
Develop a system for BlueTooth communication between two accelerometers in the ore screening process, measure the oscillation, and display the graph in real time.

Linear Displacement Control

PROJECT

Linear displacement control in fiber optic light

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Linear displacement control in fiber optic light refers to the precise manipulation of the position of light along a fiber optic path. This control is crucial in various applications such as fiber optic sensors, optical communications, and measurement devices.

DEMAND
Develop a box with the embedded system for the simultaneous control of three stepper motors with low vibration and high precision.

BioChallenge

Accessibility for Deaf People

PROJECT

Translator application for deaf people

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

It is a technological tool designed to facilitate communication between deaf and hearing people. These applications generally use speech and video recognition technologies to translate speech or text in real time into texts or images.

DEMAND
Develop a box with the embedded system.

Test Specimens

PROJECT

Resin test specimens for destructive testing

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

A test specimen is a sample of material or component that is prepared and used to perform destructive tests. The purpose of these tests is to evaluate the physical, mechanical, or chemical properties of the material, such as tensile strength, hardness, toughness, and other characteristics.

DEMAND
Production via 3D resin printer of 45 types of test specimens for destructive testing in 3 different types of resins.

InovaLab - BH Tec

InovaLab Trophies

PROJECT

Manufacture of trophies for InovaLab finalists.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

InovaLab is an innovation laboratory of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) that seeks to promote applied research, technological development, and innovation in various areas. It acts as a collaborative environment, connecting students, professors, researchers, and companies to create innovative solutions in technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.

DEMAND
Produce on the 3D filament printer 15 trophies according to the design and files provided by InovaLab.

CPE Júnior

Prototype Fabrication

PROJECT

Prototype manufacturing.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Founded in 1997, CPE Jr. has a 26-year track record of shaping future engineers. Committed to diverse and ethical leadership, it stands out in creating websites, systems, and innovative electronic solutions. Since then, the company has become a benchmark in engineering, positively impacting clients and society.

DEMAND
Produce on the 3D filament printer the prototypes according to the design and files provided by CPE Júnior.

BioChallenge

Accessibility for Blind People

PROJECT

High-performance cane for blind people.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The cane hardware for blind people is a device developed by LIPS scholarship students to participate in the regional BioChallenge. It is an assistive technology with ultrasonic sensors that helps the blind person with audio signals and vibrations, warning of likely obstacles in their path.

DEMAND
Develop version 2.0 with two ESP32 modules communicating via Bluetooth, intended to inform the user about likely obstacles via headphones or other audio devices.

BioChallenge

Motor Accessibility

PROJECT

Collaborative arm controlled via Colibrino.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Colibrino (existing hardware) captures head movements to precisely control the mouse cursor. Clicks can be performed by blinking, smiling, or automatically after the pointer stops. The aim of this project is to integrate the Colibrino hardware with a collaborative robotic arm for the BioChallenge competition.

DEMAND
Integrate the Colibrino hardware with the collaborative arm to provide accessibility to people with partial or total motor disabilities, using only head movement and eye blinking.

DCC UFMG

RFID Access Control

PROJECT

RFID-based door opening.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) door-opening system uses UFMG cards or TAGs to unlock doors. This system increases security, allows easy registration via local IP, and enables monitoring of who has access to specific areas.

DEMAND
Upgrade to version 3.0 with the new 3D-printed enclosure design, and organize internal wiring and connections. Present the new version to the DCC professors and managers for subsequent installation on selected DCC doors.

CTNano UFMG

Gas Flow Control

PROJECT

Gas controller for the growth of carbon nanomaterials.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The gas controller is an interface between the user and the carbon nanomaterials growth furnace. With it, the user configures, simply and quickly, the time and flow rate of the gases involved in the synthesis and growth process.

DEMAND
Update version 2.0 of the gas controller, adding the option to set the control time of MFCs 1 and 2 to open and close the valves.

ICB UFMG

Adapter for Stereotaxic Frame

PROJECT

Stereotaxic adapter for owls.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The stereotaxic adapter is part of a device that fixes the owl’s head for electrophysiological studies. The stereotaxic frame is a device that can be used for various purposes; there are models for humans, monkeys, rats, and mice. The objective of using a stereotaxic frame for a surgical procedure or experiment is to keep the subject’s head fixed and provide high precision in the Cartesian coordinates on the Vernier scale.

DEMAND
Improve the design of the existing project to make it more rigid and resistant, and produce it via 3D printing on demand.
